About this deal

Like these super cute Snowman Marshmallow Hot Cocoa Toppers. They’re a slam dunk with the pint sized people in my life. And they’re so easy to make….seriously. You’re kids will love helping decorate. They’re wonderful to give as gifts with a fun mug and some cocoa…..if you could whip up some snow to go with them that would be completely fabulous. I’d like some snow so send some my way please. Cut the marshmallow in half, horizontally, with a pair of kitchen shears, being careful to cut it evenly. Make them your own: The materials used are pretty flexible so this idea is just a jumping-off point. They are pretty perfect but no two snowmen are identical. Be creative! Make snow girls or snow pets if you like. Versatile: They’re not just reserved for your classic hot cocoa, though! Enjoy them with your pumpkin spice hot chocolate, gingerbread hot chocolate, salted caramel hot chocolate, or your pumpkin spice latte! They’re so so cute! It’s a bonus treat to enjoy after the drink! These little edible toppers are a fun way to brighten up hot cocoa for a weekend movie night (Frozen, anyone?) but impressive enough to use as a finishing touch on your Christmas party beverages. They’re a super fun addition to a hot chocolate charcuterie board! Make sure the white candy melts are fluid. If they have hardened too much, microwave them in their parchment paper cones in the microwave for about 10 seconds.

Brush the upper third of the marshmallow with water, then press the marshmallow into a plate of colored sugar.Work the green ball into apyramid shape, then work it into more of a hat shape. They taught hat shape in school, right?

Pipe the orange carrot nose by starting on the eft side and pulling toward the right, making a carrot shape. Simplify it: For younger kids, skip the body of the snowman and have them decorate a face on the side of a jumbo marshmallow. Seeing it float inside the hot cocoa is just as fun! Wondering why the hot chocolate is pink? We made steamed hot chocolate and used white chocolate peppermint bark. It has been a very popular drink this winter. What is a Hot Chocolate Topper? // Set the marshmallow halves aside, and cover them with plastic wrap until you are ready to decorate. The beauty of the parchments cones is that they have no metal parts, so you can reheat them in the microwave, when the candy melts begin to solidify.

Snowman Marshmallow Hot Chocolate Toppers— A Snow Day activity with step-by-step instructions. Make some hot cocoa and get busy!

Fun: We need to talk about how cute these fun little festive marshmallow snowmen look floating on top of a cup of hot cocoa! It’s one thing to throw some mini marshmallows in the hot chocolate, but why not make it a little more creative and have these guys relaxin’ on top, waiting for Anna and Elsa to arrive. Large Marshmallows– You could even opt for jumbo marshmallows. You want them big enough to see all the detail, but small enough that they fit nicely in your drink. Place a dot of candy melts on the bottom of the band and set two mini M&Ms in place, forming the earmuffs. After they are done, pipe on the face, as described in the instructions for the Plain Snowman Design, above.

Now insert pretzels on the side of the body for the arms and on the bottom for the legs. Cut jelly beans in half and then trim the sides to create a triangle. Apply to create the nose. Fun to make, even more fun to eat…these easy to make Snowman Marshmallow Hot Cocoa Toppers are a great treat all winter long. A great last minute gift idea for the holidays or the perfect snow day treat.
