I bought this book for my class in Pharmaceutical Technology and with a strong background in Physical Chemistry I found this book very good for the transition from Physical Chemistry to Physical Pharmacy. The language of the book has also changed and the explanations were further simplified so that we actually understand the concept even better! One of the world’s best-known texts on pharmaceutics, Aulton's Pharmaceutics offers a complete course in one book for students in all years of undergraduate pharmacy and pharmaceutical sciences degrees. I have tried all these books, even 2007 version of it, I hated Aulton 2007 but this book is amazing!Pharmaceutics is one of the most diverse subject areas in pharmaceutical science and an understanding of it is vital for all pharmacists and scientists involved in converting drugs to medicines that can be safely delivered to a patient. In brief, it is concerned with the scientific and technological aspects of the design and manufacture of dosage forms or medicines. For the first three editions, Prof Mike Aulton (Emeritus Professor, De Montfort University and Fellow of the School of Pharmacy) was sole editor of this textbook, which is widely known as “ Aulton”. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average.

The book provides pharmacy and pharmaceutical science students with the latest information on all aspects of pharmaceutics. It it a bit long-winded and sometimes difficult to understand, but maybe it is because i dislike pharmaceutics! I bought this book for my class in Pharmaceutical Technology and, with a strong background in Physical Chemistry, I found this book very good for the transition from Physical Chemistry to Physical Pharmacy. Professor Aulton's Pharmaceutics has become established as the clearest, most comprehensive textbook on this subject.
