For what it is--a splash cologne (eau de toilette implies that it's stronger than it is) that you can use liberally on your 'after shower' skin for a refreshing and limited scent experience--it's very nice! Unfortunately it mostly smells like one of those mountain springs types of laundry detergent or one of the Clean perfumes. I find most rain/water/aquatic scents too flat, cold, ozonic, or aldehydic to enjoy for more than the first spritz, but MJ Rain has a softness and multidimensional dry-down that keeps it interesting. With the last of their strength, the trees pull the dwindling remnants of moisture out of the ground.Thanks, in part, to the power of suggestion from the name and color of the juice, this smells like a gentle drizzle in a garden or orchard on a warm Saturday afternoon.

And when I stand in front of the training building and relax, Rain develops smoky, as if I had lit a cigarette of washing powder. The person who actually always gives someone something to give his colleagues something good, something from the heart, which does not always have to do with money.

A reissue from Jacobs’ unfussy and enormously popular Splash collection, Rain is a deceptively simple, refreshing blend that evokes nothing so much as rain after a hot day, and the freshness of the road, grass and flowers after it. I bought this on a whim without smelling it, but my brother ended up loving it and was exactly what he was looking for! If you have not as yet tried a fragrance from this innovative brand, Marc Jacobs Rain is the perfect choice. Everything fine and dandy but this is discontinued and I cannot find anything to replace this with when it will all be gone. The scent is beautifully transparent and revitalising with a fresh opening of Wet Cut Grass, sparkling Wild Strawberry, Clementine Zest and Dewy Cypress.
